Accepted Social Tracking Tags

All social placements are billed on 1P data, 3P 1x1 tags are optional.

Accepted tags/capabilities will vary by social platform, see below for approved vendors. Additional limitations may apply based on creative restrictions. (note: there is a standard discrepancy between 1P and 3P delivery due to vendor methodologies, custom segments being non-taggable, etc.).

Meta (FB/IG)

There are a few vendors that support tagging, and there is a limit of three impression (aka view) tags per ad.

Approved Vendors: Google DoubleClick, Sizmek (Amazon company), Innovid, Kantar and Flashtalking.

TikTok

The main list provided is for NBCU Social Sync (custom content) campaigns only, 1x1 tags are generally accepted for the vendors listed in bold below. For NBCU Pulse Premiere campaigns, there may be limitations or additional requirements such as allow listing with TikTok, account managers can provide more information. Most of these vendors can provide measurement capabilities such as impressions, clicks with some exceptions.

X (Formerly Twitter)

Brands must have a relationship with the vendor to activate reporting on Twitter.

Approved Vendors: AppsFlyer, CM360, ComScore, Nielsen. Viewability: IAS, Moat, DoubleVerify.

Snapchat

Measurement vendors can supply two types of third-party trackers which can be used to track different ad events: 1x1 Impression Trackers or Click Trackers.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn supports third-party impression-based tracking and attribution through Moat and Google Marketing Platform (formerly DoubleClick) on Sponsored Content. These partners are implemented via LinkedIn Tracking Tags, which are the recommended and supported method for impression tracking on the platform.

On NBCU news campaigns, only impression tracking URLs are supported due to editorial guidelines.

Any brand safety or verification integrations are subject to NBCUniversal approval, based on the data being collected and measurement requirements.
